Empowering Students: Nurturing Financial Literacy for a Secure Future

In addition to imparting various skills to our students, we strive to provide them with opportunities to acquire essential knowledge for their future well-being. One such opportunity involved an educational initiative focused on 'financial literacy.' Mr. Francis Felix Joseph, representing the ICICI Foundation for Inclusive Growth, led the program as the featured speaker. He delivered a comprehensive presentation, complete with illustrative examples, covering a wide array of financial topics, including:

• Establishing financial goals through effective financial planning
• Enhancing financial literacy, particularly in the context of savings and investments
• Understanding different savings options
• Recognizing the significance of nomination in financial matters
• Learning about the proper and improper usage of debit cards
• Exploring the concept of CIBIL scores
• Gaining awareness of social security schemes
• Identifying and safeguarding against fraud and cyber security threats

This program was held at our IIDA Skill Academies on three separate occasions: in Pallavaram on 11th October, Mamallapuram on 12th October, and Aminjikarai on 13th October.
